The details of the science training program:

Session 1: How Can I Become A Scientist?

Participants learn how they can conduct scientific research with learners at school.

They prepare a Research Book - a tool where they will collect data all over the project.

Session 2: How do various items act in water?

Through experiments, teachers study the properties of water.

They also learn how to foster pupils' CURIOSITY, which is the starting point for teaching science. .

Session 3: What causes things float or sink in water?

Teachers will practice their CRITICAL THINKING and will learn to develop this skill in their pupils.

Participants perform two experiments: one with an orange, the other with an egg. They will experimentally discover what makes objects float to the surface of the water.

Session 4: Can I wash my greasy hands with water only?

Hypothesis formulation and verification is the focus of this session.Participants will make hypothesis about the effective way of washing hands and then they will verify it.The movement game will show teachers how to bring scientific issues to the youngest pupils.

Experiments require precision, patience and insight, and thus the ability to read instructions with understanding. The teachers learn conducting the simple experiments. They will check the water surfice tension. We will let them to make mistakes and learn from them.

We We let the participants get their hands dirty - they will make a salt dough model, which help connecting the dots and associate the facts learned with the real life.

Session 0: Introduction to the training on science for the school coordinators.

It is a training for those who will be responsible for the coordination of teachers in individual schools. They will learn about activity-based learning and scientific approach to teaching as well as how to organize a training session in their school to make it as effective as possible.

All training is devoted to the topic of WATER. It is prepared in such a way that teachers can conduct activities with students 5-12 years old.
